Mireia García Contreras (Barcelona, 1974) has a degree in Sociology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Barcelona. Until 2018 she worked as a tourist guide, a profession she left to devote herself to writing. Currently, and after taking a postgraduate course in creative writing, she collaborates as a teacher with the Escuela de Escritores de Madrid. Las palabras calladas is her first novel.
