Barcelona 1923: a girl disappears in a crowded cinema at the time when the city tries to close an era full of chiaroscuro.
In 1923, Inspector Basilio Bosc returns to Barcelona after five years in Madrid with the task of finding a girl who disappeared in the Coliseum cinema: Cristina Nomdedeu, daughter of an important textile businessman. Bosc’s return to his hometown will reveal the life he had left behind, put on hold with his hasty departure, and will open old wounds: the reunion with his family and also his relationship with Joana.
When all avenues of the investigation are closing, the inspector, further tormented by personal revelations, turns to Gabacho, a respected thief in the slums of the District V and a childhood friend. Sooner than expected, all the protagonists of this story will have to face the real evil, the one that will lead the reader to an astonishing end.
